Product Introduction
Products Description
Twinwall roofing is a double wall, hollow structured, flat, lightweight, polycarbonate glazing sheet.
It is the first choice for almost any demanding glazing application. As well as being aesthetically pleasing, it offers excellent thermal and acoustical properties. Sunnyside Twinwall will meet most architectural requirements and is available in a range of attractive colour tint options.
* B1 fire retardent fire proof
* Reduces heat without sacrificing light
* Absorbs almost 100% of sunlight UV radiation
* 250 times stronger than glass and 20 times stronger than acrylic
* Very light, very strong and virtually unbreakable
* Capable of withstanding temperature fluctuations from -20ºC to 120ºC

What is the U-Value?
The U-value is a measure of how many watts (representing the rate of flow of energy) pass through one square metre (m2), for every degree difference in temperature between the inside and the outside.
The lower the U-value, the better the insulation properties.
For reference, single glazed windows are usually 6.0, double glazed windows can be anything from 1.6 (gas filled) to 3.7
Single skin polycarbonate is usually 5.9 As an example, a U-value of 6.0 means that six watts will be escaping through each square metre of glass when the temperature difference is one degree. If it is 20°C in the house and 0°C outside, then the heat loss is 20 x 6 = 120 watts per square metre.
Note, this is different from the R value (used for insulation). The higher the R value, the better the insulation properties. So a U value of 3.5 is equivalent to an R value of 0.3
